Green OBA is an environmental sustainability and community beautification campaign designed to inspire households, institutions, businesses and community groups to actively improve the natural environment of Oba Kingdom.
Its flagship programme, One Compound, Five Trees, turns environmental action into a practical household commitment. The initiative combines tree planting with education, maintenance, food security, landscaping and community monitoring so that every planted tree has a greater chance of thriving.

It is a community pledge encouraging every participating compound to plant and maintain at least five suitable trees, supported by environmental education and monitoring.
Suitable options may include food, shade, economic, medicinal and ornamental trees. Final selection should consider available space, safety, soil conditions and maintenance capacity.
Green OBA is organized by the OBA Environment & Sanitation Committee under the OBA Patriotic Union. The workshop flyer also identifies the Agriculture Department, Idemili South LGA as facilitator.
Participants can register their interest, identify a suitable planting area, nominate a responsible contact person and commit to ongoing tree care and monitoring.
